After the OpenOffice developer released the first patch for the OpenOffice 2.0 version in the december of the last year the first patch for Suns commercial StarOffice 8 is available. The patch could be downloaded here: StarOffice 8.1 patch . Next to several bugfixes this release should offer a better compatibility for Microsoft Office formats. OpenOffice and StarOffice are one of the few Office suites which offer full support for the OpenDocument format.
